What information we collect
When you place an order through this app, we collect:
- Your first name — so we can call you when your order is ready
- Your mobile phone number — to send you an SMS order confirmation and status updates, and to verify your identity via a one-time code
- Your order details — items, quantities, customisations, and total — so we can prepare your order correctly
We do not collect your email address, home address, payment card details, or any other personal information.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Process and fulfil your order
- Send you order status notifications by SMS
- Display your order history when you sign in
We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than fulfilling your order. We do not share your data with third parties other than our SMS infrastructure provider (Google Firebase), which processes your phone number to send verification codes and notifications.
Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the basis of contractual necessity — you provide your details in order to place an order, and we need those details to fulfil it. This is the lawful basis under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b).
How long we keep your data
Order records (name, phone number, items ordered) are retained for 90 days from the date of the order, after which they are deleted. Your account profile is retained for as long as you have an active account. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.
Cookies and local storage
This app does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
We use browser session storage to keep you signed in to the ordering app during your current visit — this data is automatically cleared when you close your browser. We use browser local storage only to remember that you have acknowledged this privacy notice, so we do not show it on every visit.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict our processing of your data
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
